In recent years, the role of props as visual merchandising aids has been in flux, but there is these days strong evidence of their resurgence in product presentation, especially when used to support a certain holiday or merchandise classification. Oversized versions of products (e.g., candy, cell phones, animated characters), logos and everyday items that relate to a certain lifestyle are especially popular today. I’ve designed many such props that were well received by both the clients and their customers, resulting in heightened awareness of the product and, thus, increased sales.
